OUR STORY
Built on faith, brotherhood, and the ride that brings us together
There’s a moment just before a group ride rolls out—engines warming, gloves pulled tight, heads bowed for a brief word of prayer—when you can feel exactly what Connecticut Widows Sons is about. We’re Christian men who ride, but we’re not here to impress anyone. We’re here to stand shoulder to shoulder, to live our faith out loud, and to show up for our communities with steady hands and willing hearts.
Our chapter exists to build genuine brotherhood among riders who share a commitment to Christ, to family, and to service. You’ll find us at charity runs, local events, and chapter gatherings—supporting one another through life’s hard seasons and celebrating the good ones, too. The patches matter, but the character behind them matters more.
We believe a strong chapter is made in the small things: accountability, respect, and being the kind of man who keeps his word. Prospective members often ask what we “do.” The answer is simple—ride together, pray together, serve together, and look after our brothers and their families. If you’re searching for a place where your faith and your love of the road can belong in the same sentence, you’re in the right place.
If our story sounds like the life you want to be part of, we’d be honored to meet you. Take time to learn how the prospect process works, ask your questions, and come around a ride or event. We’re not in a rush—we’re building something that lasts.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. When you’re ready, reach out—and let’s take the next mile together.

OUR FOUNDER
John D. Harrigan
Founding Brother · Est. 2006
John helped establish Connecticut Widows Sons to bring riders together around Christian brotherhood, steady fellowship, and service to our communities. He’s known for setting a clear standard: ride responsibly, represent the chapter with humility, and show up—at meetings, at church-supported efforts, and when a brother needs help. John continues to mentor prospects through the early steps, making sure every new member understands the mission, the expectations, and the privilege of wearing the patch.
“We ride for more than the road—we ride to serve, to encourage, and to keep the faith at the center.”
